About Us
The Alpharetta Moms 'n Tots (AMnT) Meetup Group is a friendly, down-to-earth meetup group for moms and their kids to get together to socialize and participate in fun, family-friendly activities. We were founded for moms and their toddler-aged children but as our group has grown those toddlers have grown too! So we have a mix of ages.

What's a Toddler?
Toddlers are those cute little people who aren't really babies anymore, but aren't big kids yet either. In general, they're about 18 months and up through age three. But, moms of toddlers may also have infants or older kids and we understand that. So, as long as you have at least one toddler, you're in! To join the group, you should have one child within that range, but once you are in the group, you can continue to participate as long as you want, as your child ages.

What's a Mom?
We all know what a Mom is, but there are different kinds of moms and all are welcome here. Some moms stay-at-home (which we all know doesn't really mean stay-at-home & is a full-time job in it's own right). There are moms who work full-time or part-time. Some work from home, others in an office. Some travel, some don't. Some are married, some aren't. Some have pursued higher degrees of education, some are self-taught. Some have unique or special talents they can share. Whatever kind of mom you are...you're welcome here.

What to Expect
We create fun, friendly opportunities for moms and toddlers to get together for socializing and playing in safe, toddler-friendly, inexpensive ways. These may include play-dates at a local park or someone's home; storytime at bookstores or libraries; 'field trips' to museums or other venues; rainy day fun-time at indoor play places or the mall... and more. We also try to have at least one Mom's Night Out (MNO) each month.

Why Join AMnT?
We actively foster kind, supportive, friendly & safe events, as well as membership participation. You're never required to participate in any particular event. You always get to pick & choose which meetups to go to. If you're interested in making more friends for yourself and/or your toddler, this is the meetup to join.

AMnT Policies

• AMnT membership is limited to about 60 total 'mom' members.
  In conjunction with the monthly pruning event, we hope to maintain a manageable membership roster of moms who are interested in & available to participate in activites & make new friends for themselves and their toddlers.
  
• AMnT streamlines membership via a monthly 'pruning' event.
  This policy will ensure that we maintain an active membership roster of moms who are interested in & available to participate in activities & make new friends for themselves and their toddlers. This policy will also serve as a safety & security measure by limiting access and visibility to membership information, message posts and AMnT group activities. Any member who is 'pruned' may apply to rejoin when their schedule permits them to be more actively involved.
  
• Each new member should have at least one toddler aged child (18 months through age three). Once you become a full member, you can remain in the group as your child ages beyond that range.
  
• Requirement that members participate in at least one meetup each month.
  It is our desire to have an active group of members. We understand there may be times when you cannot attend temporarily, for various reasons. If we don't see you for over a month, you may be contacted by our Membership Organizer, to see what we can do to better meet your needs and/or how we can get you and your toddler more involved.
  
• When new events are announced, members should rsvp yes or no to each event, and update your rsvp accordingly if there are changes in the days leading up to the event.
  While there are occasionally unexpected last-minute emergencies, if you have rsvp'd yes and think it is likely that you won't attend, please try and modify your rsvp a day or two before the event. Some playdates in members' homes are limited to a certain number of Moms and toddlers. No-shows prevent another mom and toddler from attending. RSVPing and updating your RSVP is very important not only for the organizers and hosts, but also for the other Moms attending the event.
  
• Our group is a private meetup on meetup.com.
  This means that member profiles (answers to the questions), calendar of events, and other details are only available for viewing by other group members. Non-group members can only view the "About Us" description page.
  

AMnT Organizers Team
The AMnT Meetup Group is lead by our Organizer and Co-Organizer, along with several Event Organizers.
Together, the AMnT Organizers Team strives to ensure that this meetup group remains active, fun, friendly, safe and enjoyable.

A Special Note for Working Moms
The group welcomes and includes nannies when the moms aren't available to participate. Alternately, mom may sneak away from work to meetup with the nanny & toddler, just long enough for the planned activity and then return to work while the nanny continues on with the toddler for the day.
