It is a normal child who is more intense, persistent, sensitive, perceptive and uncomfortable with change than other children. Most of you would have already found the book "Raising your Spirited Child" by Mary Sheedy Kurcinka. The purpose of the group is mainly a support network for parents with spirited children but also to have the opportunity for playgroups and playdates for the kids.

This group is for parents of children with sensory processing issues either due to autism or with out autism. My son is 9, and I have been dealing with SPD for over 7 years. I know there is a great group already out there, but they meet in Durham, and I would love something a little closer to home.
