We are also a group of friends that understand every day challenges of being a single parent. No matter if you have been doing single parenting for a while or just started -- …

This group is for anyone with kids 0-5, looking to get together on Fridays from 10 to 12 to make friends and have fun! We'll switch up locations but having the set routine will let our kids develop real friendships and a sense of community they don't automatically have until they go to school. We also have periodic home meetups that members can schedule for days/times that work for them, and there is no commitment to hosting one if you attend one. This group is for parents that want to try to co …

Has anyone else noticed that all the parent groups here are just filled with parents of toddlers and babies? Do people forget that parents with older kids are still parents, and we still like to do stuff together with our kids and other parents? Are your kids a little too old for "play dates" but still might like to connect with other kids their age? I'm a single mom with a 12-year-old daughter, and am hoping to find other parents with kids from maybe 10-14 (flexible), who might like to get toge …

… This is where we get together (just parents) to share ideas and concerns, give each other advice and share resources. A new topic of course, will be how we would like the co-op to work. All ideas and suggestions are welcome. Again, this is not something you have to attend to be a part of this group. Some people just like to come to meetups and that is fine too. I look forward to meeting you and your family. Carolyn Flynn, Organizer

I am mom to a 3 1/2 year old daughter diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum over a year ago. I've had a hard time making connections with other moms and dads with kids on the spectrum. I'd like to find some local friends to get together for coffee to vent and laugh over our struggles and triumphs. I'm thinking that once a week for an hour get together would be nice. But I'm flexible. Let's see what other local parents need. Let's support one another!

We are a group of mamas who are tired of the catty, gossipy, drama-filled pettiness that is found in so many groups of women. We decided to create our own group, with the hopes that it would result in genuine, close friendships between mamas who might be different on the outside but are the same on the inside: human beings with feelings and a need for girly companionship. With this ultimate goal in mind we changed our group at the end of 2011 to focus on MNOs (hence, "The MNO Edition"). We learn …

Originally, Jillian Carter started this group. "I have decided to start this group because since I had my first son a year ago I have needed and searched for other working moms to ask questions, get tips, and just relate to. A working mom is a special type of mom who really does juggle it all. We need support, understanding, tips and friends to laugh with over the crazy happenings of our daily lives! As busy as we are, we need to find time for ourselves - for girl time. I envision this group to …

I recently left my teaching job to take care of my 3-month-old granddaughter while my daughter starts her own career in the medical field. I would love to meet up with other "granny nannies" and older moms (I am a young 61) who want to connect with others and share play dates and activities with the little ones.
