As a single foster-to-adopt parent, I often find that my "bio" parent friends just do not understand how foster/adoptive parenting is different. So, sometimes I cannot reach out to them for needed support. I thought it would be nice to have a MeetUp Group where we could get together and share our stories, successes and losses, and provide support to each other. In addition, we might build a circle of respite providers in the process.

I would like to start a group in my town of parents who lost an adult child and want the support of non-theistic friends; a place where we can dispense with the fairy tales and discuss how we are dealing with our loss as we embrace the col …
