Hello and Welcome! I am a professional, Advanced Certified Newborn Care Specialist, and have worked with many families around the D.C. Metro Area, helping their children develop healthy sleep habits and providing general in-home coaching and empowerment sessions for newborn care. Every family I have coached has strongly suggested I begin parenting classes for parents-to-be and new parents of newborns and infants. There is a severe lack of effective and thorough training for being a new parent, a …

This group began because single parents can give each other much needed company and support. Also, this is a great opportunity for our children to make life long friends. The purpose of this group is for single parents in Reston and the surrounding areas to have a local group to socialize with. Any single parent in our area is most welcome to join. Most of the activities will be geared toward elementary and middle school-aged children. Of course parents of babies/teens are always welcome.

As a single mother of Indian origin I find there are some unique challenges inherent in my new lifestyle. I started this group in the hopes of bringing together like-minded individuals with similar goals, challenges, and issues in order to provide a supportive network to one another, and expand our social circle for ourselves and our children. As we expand our friendships, we can enrich our lives through shared experiences with our children, as well as parents-only events. Look forward to expand …

I am a working mom of a 15-month-old daughter who lives in Loudoun County and wants to meet other moms (and dads) who understand what it is like to juggle parenting and all of the other demands of daily living in this area. I've looked for other meetups like this one, but most of the meetings are during the week during the day. This meetup group will be for parents who want to get together (for playdates, parents events, family outings) on weekends -- and maybe for some dessert/chat on weeknight …

Do you have a toddler who gets up a lot earlier on weekends than you'd like? Around 5 or 5:30 every Saturday and Sunday? Us too--and we'd like to meet other parents with toddlers who start their days early. When the weather is warmer and the sun rises earlier, we'll meet up at local playgrounds. Until then, we can meet for breakfast and brainstorm other ways to keep the kids active while the rest of our family is asleep. We'd also be interested in meetups later in the day... for those of you who …

Our purpose is to lead the home-centered education movement by equipping parents and students with the classical tools of learning needed to discover the order and beauty of God’s creation and to inspire others to do the same. We believe parents are their children’s primary teachers not because parents know everything but because each child is uniquely (and wonderfully!) made and because the people who know and love a child best are the ones most motivated to help that child succeed. We empower …
POCWSN = Parents of children with special needs I know many parents that are in need of support, even if it's just a shoulder to cry on. As a mom of a child with ASD and ADHD, I know the frustrations that arise on a daily basis. My goal is to find ways to support one another. I would like to establish play dates, coffee breaks, Parents night out and whatever any one else feels they need. I am not a doctor or therapist. I am just a mom looking for support and advice from other parents.

Nothing fancy--the goal is to have a meetup at least once a week at a local park, playground, backyard, or home with the expectation that members would participate at least twice a month in an event. To broaden the horizon perhaps we can do an outing once a month, like a museum, aquarium, zoo, or event. Almost all of our events are Monday thru Friday in the mornings (1000am …
